Guru Purnima celebrated ... the Vidyani way!

The festival of Guru Purnima was celebrated today, July 19, with intense fervour and enthusiasm. Alongwith felicitating renowned danseuse Rema Shrikant, a plethora of performances highlighted the importance of a Guru's role in shaping a student's life.

The milieu was mesmerising with the chanting of shlokas followed by two captivating dance performances dedicated to all gurus.

Chief Guest Rema Shrikant, in her address, drew attention to the metamorphosis of the student teacher relationship over the years and exhorted the audience to uphold the ancient Indian guru-shishya tradition. "Strength is within us", she said quoting Swami Vivekananda as she urged students to awaken their inner strengths guided by their gurus.

Following the Vidyani practice, this year too, teachers who had completed a decade at Vidyani, were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Principal Sonal Verma for their commendable service to the School.

The Principal also read out a message from NES Chairperson Tejal Amin conveying her appreciation of the good work done by our Teachers and commending Rema Shrikant's contribution towards the cultural scenario of the city.

Council Members also gave a rose and the auspicious Shreephal to all teachers as a token of their appreciation for the contribution of their gurus to their successes.

What an apt way to recognize the efforts made by gurus to enhance their lives!
