| ‘VANDAN HO GURUVAR AAPKO………..’ |
Guru Purnima is celebrated on Aashadi Purnima, also known as Vyaasa Purnima in the sacred memory of the great sage Vyaasa, the Adi Guru of the Hindu religion. Gurus are revered and honoured on this auspicious day i.e.15th July. At Vidyani, too, gurus were aptly honoured. The programme was distributed into two halves; [first part for Stds.VII –XII and second part for Stds.I –VI], with the first part having eminent educationist Shri Rameshchandra Patel, the National Award winner for the Best Teacher in 2000, as the Chief Guest. The programme began with the rendition of a soulful song stating the role of the teacher in our lives. The contemporary dance as well as the ballet illustrated the importance of significance of the teacher in our works and lives. Teachers who have spent 10 years of their lives in the service of the institution were also felicitated by the Chief Guest. The keynote address by the Chief Guest focused upon the importance of activities in the teaching-learning process of the students. He also stated the value of ‘true’ gurus in inculcating and imbibing learning to all children. A truly heart – rendering song gave a final touch to the event. The second function, too, bordered on the same lines with a couple of additions. An enthralling and mesmerizing Ganesh Stuti was classically performed by a student of Std.VIII. The Kala Aradhana awards, for those students who had achieved General Proficiency in Activities for three years in a row, were distributed to the winners. The event culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem and distribution of shreephal and roses to all the teachers. [updated on 15th July’11]

VANDE MATARAM---INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya celebrated the 65th Independence Day on 15th August 2011 with immense pride and patriotism. The student body and quite a few parents turned out in large numbers to pay their respects to our great nation on this auspicious occasion. After a brief introduction about the contribution of our erstwhile national leaders towards the development of India, the Council President was called upon to unfurl the tricolour. This was followed by the melodious rendition of the national anthem, ‘vijayi vishwa tiranga pyaara’ and ‘saare jahan se acchha’. The Headboy of the school, then, delivered a heart rending speech on the role of youth in nation building capacity. The programme concluded with the lilting performance of another patriotic song full with the fervor and flavour of the spirit of nationalism. Finally, sweets were distributed to one and all present on the occasion.
